Looks like about 1qt every 588 miles. My old 02 Camry was at about 1qt every 500 when I passed it off to a friend at 201k, with full disclosure. It’s at about 247k now and still 1qt per 500.
The Owners Manual for my 2006 Matrix said 1qt per 600 miles was the threshold for warranty repair.
But as stated above, this vehicle (OP’s Venza) is out of warranty.
If it were mine I would try a piston soak (OP can do a search for what that entails.)
I have the same issues with my Venza 2012. I have to top up around 1 litre per 1000 KM. Why Toyota does not admit to this problem?
Thanks. I don’t see alot of complaints about this known problem. Not sure what I can do about this because I can not afford another vehicle, or even the expensive repairs this would take.
Do what you can: check the oil often. Top it up to the Full mark when it falls. Use the Toyota-recommended grade and weight of oil. Make this convenient by having oil at home and in the car.
Can you afford a $25 jug of oil from Walmart or Costco every couple months?
