2012 Ford Escape - How long will it last

Yes, this car has been owned by our family family it’s entire life so we know it’s maintenance history.

Owning a 1952, with proper maintenance and parts availability it, could last for 70 years without a major engine or transmission overhaul.

On the other hand if 2003 Ford Escape parts became unavailable it would be a whole lot shorter.

My guess is that it’s good for 150,000 miles with good maintenance or 5-10 years until the parts supply dries up.

The driver was manufactured in 2003, the vehicle is a 2012 model year, I don’t expect a parts shortage in the near future.

By coincidence, this happened to a friend yesterday, while stopped to make a left turn:

2001 Ford Focus with 344k miles.
