I own a 2012 Buick Verino with 159000 miles and shows a code timing chain but have no systems showing does it need fixing

EDIT: Make sure you oil is full and oil changes are up to date…
Concur, suggest to post the actual diagnostic codes for best help here. I’m guessing the problem isn’t the timing chain itself, but some problem w/ the valve timing; possibly a faulty VVT (variable valve timing) actuator. That part is very sensitive to oil level and oil quality. If it is time to replace the engine oil and filter anyway, you might want to do that first, b/c it might entirely eliminate the symptom.
