2011 Dodge Avenger

When you press on the accelerator the car feels very sluggish it only has 61,000 miles

Any check engine light on?

Your vehicle has what is called a drive-by-wire throttle system.

This means that instead of having a throttle cable that directly connects the gas pedal to the throttle body, your vehicle has a throttle pedal position sensor that informs the computer the position of the throttle, and the computer takes that information and operates the electronic throttle body.

So that’s the circuit I would check first.

Doctor, “I’ve Been Feeling Tired And Lacking Energy.”

Without the doctor receiving additional information and/or running some tests I doubt a meaningful diagnosis and recommendation could be offered that would help the patient based on this brief complaint.

We’d like to help you.
We can’t run any tests on your vehicle, but we can benefit from additional information.

Please paint a better word picture of what is happening.
Have you driven this vehicle for some time and noticed a change? Sudden change? Gradual Change?
Did you just purchase this vehicle?
Is the car running smoothly or is it stumbling or running rough? When? Does it ever improve? When? When did it start?
Any unusual sounds?
A decrease in fuel economy?
Was the car recently serviced?
Please include any other observations.

Thanks, CSA
