Could I still drive if sugar is in the gas tank
The sugar won’t get through the filter to your engine (and it doesn’t dissolve in gasoline), but it will likely clog it up really quickly depending on how much is in there. Might as well have it towed to get your tank drained out and the sugar cleaned out
How do you know there’s sugar in the tank? How much is in there?
I also wonder how do you know there is sugar in the tank. Debris around the filler cap? Sugar will get caught in pump strainers, filters, and can kill a fuel pump at some point.
Smaller particles of sugar may get through the filter screens and end up plugging up the tiny screens that are inside of the fuel injectors so if you are SURE there is sugar in the tank you should not drive the car.
