Hi CT mechanics. I’m helping a buddy repair his car after a minor fender bender & I’m wondering if the cars computer will have to be cleared of any codes because of the accident? Driverside airbag in steering wheel went off & the 2 pop-up roll bars behind the rear seat popped up as well. He was able to drive the car home without any trouble other than the hood impairing line of site a bit.
If he has full coverage insurance and it was his fault just let the insurance take care of it . If it was the other driver then their insurance should take care of it. Replacing an Airbag is not for someone who has not done this and does not have the correct equipment.
Airbag inflating means more than just minor fender bender.
