I was thinking about checking out the above vehicle at my local dealer (Chevrolet). They’re asking 15.9k and it has 57k miles. I need to know if it has a timing belt or a timing chain and how reliable is the engine/transmission.

Timing Belt… Should be fairly reliable, but its weak point (supposidly fixed but I think its too early to tell), is head gaskets. Wholesale (manheim market reports actual cars being purchased by actual dealers) with that type of mileage is about $13,500… So figure the dealer owns it for $14,000’sih to be safe… That is assuming its not a limited or Premium.
