I bought a kia sportage 2010 2 weeks ago and now it is turning over but wont start I have had the fuel pump and filter changed yesterday and got up this morning and it wont start any ideas please
The problem might be with a bad crankshaft position sensor.

If the computer doesn’t receive a signal from this sensor, the computer see’s no reason to operate the ignition and fuel systems, so the engine doesn’t start.

This sounds like a problem I have with my KIA Sportage 1999 2.0 lt diesel. However sometimes when my KIA dose start it will rev on its own anything up to 3500rpm.
I have had intermittent problems when it will over rev on its own a little but this has been very inconsistent.
Now it wont start. Turns over ok. And fires up occasionally but dies instantly.
Any idea’s
