Are there any unusual noises from the engine while the oil light is on?
If not, more than likely the problem is with the oil pressure switch for the oil light.

What I aleays do first for this is check oil pressure with a physical oil gage. I don’t drive it until I am assured that there is sufficient pressure in the system.
No unusual noises. Sounds and drives like it always has.
I’ve replaced more oil pressure switches for this problem than engines/junking the vehicle.
Besides, they’re inexpensive and easy to replace.
Unless you have an oil pressure gauge that you can connect to the engine?

It’s above and to the left of the oil filter.
