Hi my dad took my catailac converter off my car and you cant replace the oxygen sensor will my light eventually go off by it self from not be able to read the car?
Nope, put the Catalytic Converter back on, then replace the 02 sensors if needed

Your father just broke a federal law. I don’t know what the penalty is and don’t want to find out. Why did he do this bonehead thing anyway ?

Yes, it will extinguish itself in a couple of years, when it burns out.
The only sure way to deal with this problem is to replace the catalytic converter, and–if necessary–the O2 sensor.
