Car on the driveway starts and immediately revs to 2000 rpm if you press the throttle it runs up to 5000 rpm and stays have to switch off. That is in sports mode not quite as bad in normal mode

Assuming that this engine has an Idle Air Control Valve, I think that it probably needs a good cleaning. Another possibility is that the throttle position sensor is bad.
