I have a 2010 Dodge Challenger that will not start. We put a new battery in. We have to boost it to start. Once you turn it off it will not start.
Why did you do that? Was the old battery bad and how did you known that? Did you have it tested before replacing it?
With what? Another car? Or a jump pack? What does the car do when you try to start it with the battery? Does it crank? Does it just click? What does i do when you add the “boost” as you call it?
If you are going to find the cause for the problems you are having, you will need a voltmeter and know how to use it. Post back with the answers to my questions and whether or not you have a voltmeter and I’ll tell you the steps.
I don’t have a voltmeter. We have to boost with another car. It cranks right up and you can drive it. Once you turn it off, it will not start. Thank you.
I didn’t check Battey I just assumed it needed new battery.
They I recommend you take it to a local shop and tell them what you are experiencing so they can diagnose the problem.
Good luck!
Thank you for your help.
