2009 Ford Focus - Should I run car to keep battery charged

It’s currently colder than the North and South Pole (Windchill) in Michigan. My car is sitting outside, and the last couple of days before it got really cold, the car hesitated to start. Today I stayed home. Do I go out and start my car and let it idle, and if so, for how long?

I would go out and start it up only IF you can’t run a battery charger out to the car. Let it run until it fully warms up. This is more about keeping the battery up than anything else. Your car is designed to operate at -40 F (or C, its the same!)

Oh, and windchill does not affect the car at all, it only affects living things.
