Does your RAV4 suffer from unintended acceleration? I was parallel parking and the car lurched forward when it was supposed to be backing up.
Not that I’ve heard. The cause is almost always a driver mistake, or something loose getting caught in the gas pedal (floor mat, etc.).
But you’re saying it tried to go forward when you had it in reverse? I’d have the gear shift mechanism checked out.
