I have 95,000+ miles on my 2008 Nissan Versa. While driving to work yesterday, the “Service Engine Soon” light came on. What exactly does that mean? I recently moved to NJ from Hawaii, and before I left Hawaii I replaced the air filter. My last oil change was at approx 89,000 miles (or was it 87,000.) Anyway, should the spark plugs be replaced? What exactly needs to be done?
If you recently, like yesterday on your way to work, you bought gas, check your gas cap.
It means exactly what it says. It could be something as simple as a loose gas cap, it could be more serious. When the lignt comes on, there is an error message stored in the car’s computer. Most any auto parts stores will read it for free. If you get it read, post the codes here in the form P1234, and we can advise.
