My uncle has a 2008 nissan altima hybrid that I am going to take over the payments for him so the car will be mine but he lives in California and I live in houston so when I get the car would the local nissan dealership know how to do the services or would I have to do them my self, I don’t think I want to because hybrids are confusing to make out what is what on the engine.

Your local Nissan dealer can take care of anything you need. You might be able to find an independent mechanic to do some, or most, of the routine maintenance on this car for less than the dealer will charge. If you take this route keep records for warranty purposes.
Yes, go to the dealer. I know they don’t sell the hybrids here in Texas, but the dealer still has the responsibility to service them.
