does brake fluid need to be changed?
Yes, Many respondents on this site will tell you every three years. Manufacturers range from two years to not saying anything!
The reason to change is based on the brake fluids ability to absorb water (from the atmosphere), when enough water has been absorbed, brake fluid has the potential of boiling due to the heat generated during braking resulting in the loss of brakes.
Me, I wait to have it done when I need new pads.
Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes Brake fluid should be changed on time, not mileage. 3 years if you don’t own a tester to check water content.
Thank you.
Thank you. Good idea to change it with brake pads.
In your manual, Lexus tells you to change it every 36 months or 30,000 miles. Do you doubt them?
I don’t, but my husband does. Thanks for your reply.
