Sometimes I can’t get my 2008 Kia to start for several minutes. It is a fuel issue. It works great at the dealership.
How do you know it is a fuel issue? Does the engine crank over but it just won’t fire up?
If it cranks over, then try this: turn the key to on - not to where it cranks, just to where the dash light come on. Listen for a little 2-3 second hum. Turn it back off…then back to on…hum…then off…on…hum…etc. Do that about 5-10 times. Then crank it. If it starts right up, then you probably have a bad check valve in the fuel pump. The remedy is to replace the pump.
