my 2008 GMC Canyon will not crank over. Battery is good all fuses and relays are good. i moved it over to cut the grass and the next day i washed it and after finishing i went to crank it and nothing. it has done that before but i disconnected the battery and left it over night and it cranked the next morning but this time nothing
Try cranking in neutral rather than park if an automatic. Also try jiggling the gearshift lever as you try to crank. If that helps, probably the neutral safety switch. The best way to figure it out is to make some voltage measurements at the starter motor. Both terminals should measure at least 10.5 volts, terminal to starter case, during attempted cranking.
