I am experiencing rough transition from 2nd to 3rd gear. My mechanic said it the transmission solenoid and he’s waiting t hear back from his transmission guy to see if he’ll do it. Is this an expensive job? Don’t want to put ooo much $ int this old car
Simple , you just ask the mechanic after he talks to who ever this transmission repair person is . Also it is always a good idea to get a second opinion for work like this.
Not really “Simple”, Volvo, He’s having trouble getting in touch with the Transmission guy and I was reaching out to ask “someone who knew” in the meantime if, in general, it’s an expensive job. I’m not asking for a quote just a little info. Thanks.
3 hours labor plus parts and fluid, a common repair for this vehicle.
