I have 14,000 miles on my Audi and recently everytime I start it up a light flashes and beeps and says Default- ABS EPS. Dealer said it could be anything. He said come in and leave my wallet. ON line they say it sound like a dirty brake connection. Help
Your dealer is right. It could be many things. You don’t have to take it there. Take it to an independent with the proper tools to read the ABS codes and determine the solution
Sounds like an excellent reason to try an independent shop as @Mustangman recommended
I have a question. You say it’s a 2008, with 14,000 miles. Is that correct? If its a 2018 it’s under warranty so go to the dealer. 14,000 on a 2008 is very, very low miles, and many things could explain the warning. Connections become corroded and cause odd results.
Maybe a 2008 with 140,000 miles? Would be nice to know. Makes a big difference.
It is a 2008 Audi TT with very low mileage- 14,000. I took it to an independent shop who ran it through diagnostics and said it needed an new pump for the brakes at a cost of $2800. Sounded fishy. Has anyone had an experience with this message on an Audi and found out what it is???
Did you ask him what diagnostic codes it had stored?
