Got in my car today and noticed a sputtering noise only when press on the gas pedal to go. I hear it at all speeds and can hear it with the windows up and down. Sounds like its coming from under me somewhere but I cant see anything wrong nor do I find anything wrong. What could it be?
It could be a heat shield around the exhaust is vibrating. It should be fairly easy for your repairer to find. The fix may be to slightly bend the vibrating shield, or adjust its mounts or hardware.
OK thanks, I will look into that this weekend. Sounds like that may be a feasable idea. I hear it more while in the driver seat than I do when I am the passenger.
