the first time ( only) i start the car in the morning and start to drive away , when i give it the gas and go about 20 mph the transmission i guess gives a big jolt and shifts into gear then its fine.
How many miles are on it? When was the last time you changed or even checked the transmission fluid? Start by checking it and add some if it’s low. If that solves the problem you dodged a bullet. If it’s not low, take the vehicle to a good independent transmission shop for a diagnosis.

112,000 miles on it, just bought in December and have not driven that much so i have not had anything done. i’ll check that out .
