2007 Ford F-150 - Good body, bad engine

The body on my F-150 is very clean but the engine is toast. Does the carcass have any value? Would it be worth the expense to swap/rebuild?

Only you can decide if you want to spend the amount of money it would take to put in a new or rebuilt engine . Call a local salvage and see what they will give you for the dead vehicle if they come and get it.

The flip side of @VOLVO_V70’s answer… Call around to find out how much it would cost to install a rebuilt engine and possibly transmission as well.

the cheapest route would be to install a used engine from the junk yard.

Worn but solid and functional trucks with bad engines are worth saving most times. Finding and having a running engine and transmission installed should be a good choice, especially if you plan on using the truck some more years.

Where is truck located? Texas?
