My daughters Corolla was losing about as much oil as the OP is losing and it was all through the front seal. It slings the oil, more oil as the engine turns faster. It never drips after the engine is shut down. The only clue was the amount of oil making the ring around the front of the engine.
Granted, different engines, but the seal is the same design. When I removed the seal, I could not see any damage to it, but the new seal cured the problem. Also her seal went out before the 100k mark, after the new seal, it never lost any measurable amount of oil before being totaled at around 230k.
Had an 86 Tercel that did the same thing, only it got so bad that it would drop a quart of oil in a minute or less. Tercelās were notorious for that, the line of AC engines (3AC, 4AC, 7AC) all were notorious for that.
