My head gasket was repaired. my car hasn’t overheated yet but I see white smoke coming out the tail pipe.
When do you see white smoke?
First thing in the morning, when it’s cold and the car has been sitting all night?
I also wonder if the reason for the original diagnosis of a failed head gasket was because of that white smoke.
If you’re saying that you see the white smoke out of the tail pipe in the rear view mirror while driving, there’s still a coolant leak in the engine.

White smoke is normal first start of the day, lasts for a few minutes. If it occurs after the engine is fully warmed up, especially on acceleration, that’s not normal and could indicate either a head gasket problem or perhaps an intake manifold gasket problem. .
