I have a 2006 grand marquis it has 70,000 miles on it. I had it serviced at dealership a week ago on friday went on highway. When i excelerated there was a large thud and the car died wrench light came on and oil light. Pulled off side of highway. Waited a minute and started car. I drove it back home no more problems but never went over 50mph. Any suggestions on what this might be?
The wrench light is most likely a warning there’s something wrong with the electronic throttle system
As for the “oil light” . . . was it the red oil light?
If yes, that means low engine oil pressure
Do you check your fluid levels regularly . . . I mean you personally, not a shop or mechanic
