2006 Honda Civic brake fluid system

What should you do if you accidentaly poured a small amount of steering fluid instead of brake fluid in the brake reservoir after the vehicle has been driven for?

Empty the reservoir with a turkey baster and refill.

Better yet, flush out the old fluid by bleeding the brakes. This should be done every 3 years anyway.

Suck it all out with the turkey baster, then bleed the MASTER CYLINDER by loosening the brake lines attached to it…Then flush the entire brake system. Do you have ABS brakes??

Completely replace the brake fluid immediately and keep your fingers crossed that no damage was caused to various components of the system.
