When I start my truck the temp gauge goes up to normal, but as I drive the temp gauge starts dropping and goes all the way down causing problems with the RPM. Any ideas what can cause this.
Odd way for it to behave no matter what, but the first thing to do is get a look at what the engine coolant temp sensor “thinks” that the temps are. This is easy with even a very cheap OBD scantool. You can get Bluetooth OBDII dongles for cheap and pair them with freeware apps. Or pick up a basic corded model at any auto parts store.
Do you have any warning lights on the dash that are lit up?
