My car blew a gasket and now there is coolant in the oil. I was told we need a new motor which is more than the car is worth. Do I have other options?
Sure, there are other options. Change the head gasket. Without knowing more about the car and the extent of the problem, I can’t give any better answer.
There were two engine options available that year: a 3.5L which uses a timing belt, and a 3.8L, which uses a timing chain. Which do you have?
Yes!
Take the money that you would have wasted on repairing this vehicle, and use it as a down-payment on a more reliable vehicle.
Tester
I agree with Tester. Coolant in the motor oil will ruin the entire engine.
