I have a 2006 trailblazer ls with the 4.2 w/ac. I recently noticed a vibration and thumping noise while turning right at low speeds. Not sure if I shuold replace the whole rack and pinion assy, or just the tie rod end. Joe.
I would recommend you take a ride with a good mechanic in the car and ask him for his diagnosis.
