Earlier this year, the air conditioning started to smell strongly of old shoes. The dealer said it was mold growing in the vents, so they flushed it out and that took care of the problem. Now, there is a smell like medicated band-aids when I turn on the air. Has anyone experienced this problem with their ac system before?
Well the stuff they might use on band-aids and the stuff they used in the AC should be very much the same stuff. You might just need to let it air out more. On the other hand maybe it is coming back. If there is a blockage that might require clearing the drain for keep the odor away.
