my car died. First all the electrical just went, then came back on then completely dead after I stopped to get gas. I jumped car started immed but as soon as cables removed it dies. Battery is new (3 months). Turning ignition just gives that clicking, whirring sound
The alternator may have failed and the battery been completely depleted.
You need to get the charging system tested as well as the battery. Even though it’s new, the battery could have been damaged.
