Part time four wheel stays on in two wheel drive. Howls in four wheel drive in high lock but not in low lock.
The 4wd switch could be bad. We owned a 2003 Liberty for several years but didn’t have that particular problem.
Failing transfer case, maybe. Given the 23 word description, that’s all I can suggest.
