2004 sebring 2.7L, car stalls after braking quickly from 45-50 mph. The engine idles normally around 600 - 650 rpm, and after braking, it will idle down to 500 and then rev up to 1000, and finally stall out. Any suggestions?
If you’re just sitting at idle with the engine running and press the brake does it also do this? If you don’t know, start it up, sit there idling and then hit the brakes about as hard as you do when “braking quickly.” I suspect a brake booster related leak in which case the specific speed wouldn’t have a whole lot to do with it.
