This car has always performed great, so we were very surprized last night when we got in, started up the car and then went to shift it from park into drive and NOTHING happened.
The dash monitor says it is in neutral and you can rev up the engine but the gear shift won’t engage. The stick will move freely but it seems the magnetic clutch is not working?
We pulled and reseated (and put in new) various electrical plugs but still nothing. Could the linkage have come off?
I’ve never seen anything like this. Anyone have suggestions/ideas?
Yes, the linkage might be disconnected.
