2004 Mazda Mazda6 - Vacuum Hose Leak

Do I have to take off the engine to fix a vacuum hose leak? And can I fix it myself? I’m pretty handy with cars, I’ve just heard so many opinions on this, I don’t even know what I know.

To fix a vacuum hose leak all you have to do is find which hose is leaking, remove it and replace it. Make sure there are no components in between one end and the other. Never heard of anyone removing an engine for a vacuum hose replacement.
