I have a 1999 Ranger with a 3.0 with 250,000 miles on it and going strong. It’s a great truck.
How good yours is, though, will greatly depend on how well it has been taken care of in it’s 15 years of life.

I have a 2005 Ranger. It’s a nice truck. Only problems have been rust issues. The frame rusts way too quickly and the bed rotted above the heat shield under the bed. I’ve heard other people complaining about the frame rust so it’s not just me. Might not be an issue for that year or if you live south.
I live in CA, so I’m probably safe.
If you’re in southern california, you’re pretty safe, as as far as rust goes
If you live in northern California, it might be a different story
Or the truck spent the first 10 years of its life in Ohio…
