The front main shaft oil seal kit I purchase has 5 parts. The wear sleeve, the plastic centering sleeve, the seal, the depth gauge, and what appears to be a rubber oil slinger.
When I took this apart, there was a ring on the outside of the cover and it just fell out when I removed the harmonic balancer. My question is, do I put this rubber ring on before or after I put the cover on (with seal installed)?
I don’t know but others may want to know which engine the seal kit goes on.
