The illumination light for the drivers door keyhole no longer work, 3 months later the one around the ignition key that is on at dark when driving (another color lights when the door is open) does not light any more.
My car was in for other warranty service and I mentioned the lights. When I picked up my car, the invoice indicated does lights were not an option for my car and did not even checked them out (I guess they assumed I made it up).
What could cause this problem?

The lights are most likely a filament type bulb and have burned out over time. I’m sure you could find replacement bulbs if that is the case but the labor to replace them might be higher than you want to pay for such a minor problem.
