Hello I have a WV beetle 2003 and my engine cranks but it will not start now I have an electric flip key and right before this started I dropped the key and it came apart but I put it back together now it wont start could this be the problem?
The battery in there may just be for the features like door lock/unlock - or it may also power some antitheft ignition interlock circuitry. The owners manual may tell.
You don’t have a second key to try ?
Are you sure that the battery in the key fob is in correctly.
