My Galant is having a temp gauge problem. About 30 seconds after starting the car it goes straight to HOT and stays there… When I turn the car off and back on sometimes it will act normally again for about 30 seconds and then right to HOT again and other times it is stuck there for the rest of the day. Any suggestions??
Well, if the car is not overheating maybe you have a bad temp sensor which is the part next to your thermostat with a wire in it. But first you have to make sure that you are not really overheating. I would not drive the car until you have established that. Check coolant level and oil condition.
Thanks for the advice, I will check it out. IT definitely is not overheating, Checked all levels on multiple occasions now. The car can be sitting overnight and 30 seconds after I turn the key on it goes straight to HOT…
