car hesitates sometimes when accelerating and seems to run rough. we replaced the plugs and one coil. this only helped a little. still runs rough. car has 130k.
Is the check engine light on? Why change only 1 coil? Did the old plugs look ok?
I’d suggest you have a compression test done. And maybe a balance test as well.That will tell you the basic condition of the engine before changing any more parts in the blind hope things will improve.
Thank you mustangman for your reply. the engine light is not on. the mechanic said that only one of the coils needed to be replaced and he said that all of the spark plugs should be replaced. I will follow your advice on the engine tests. Thanks again for the help.
