Hi I have a 2003 explorer v8 with 116,000 miles. For the past 6 months it has been stalling. It has stalled while backing up, sitting at a light, when passing another vehicle & on the highway while doing 70 mph(scary!). I had it in the my mechanic and he cleaned the throttle plate but problem still persists. Also when it is about to stall the “ding” sounds and if I give it gas I can keep it from stalling although lately when I try this the engine just revs and then finally engages. I’m bringing the car back in this week they are going to check the fuel pump. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
