The “check gage” light came on. When S10 PU was stopped, it was evident that it was leaking oil. The inside oil gage showed zero. When the oil level was checked by the dip stick, it indicated that the oil was on minimum level. Could it be that the oil pressure sensor had gone bad? In addition, what else could it be. Thanks!
You need to fix the leak, refill the crankcase with oil and hook a mechanical pressure gauge to the engine to determine IF there is any pressure and how much there is. That will tell you if the sender is bad
I don’t know what that means… what makes you say that you have a leak? When was the last time you checked the oil level and/or added oil?
