I have a 2003 Buick Rendezvous that I have to start twice everytime I want to go anywhere and sometimes I have to give a shot of starting fluid in order to get it running. It has 317k miles on it. It won’t fire on the first attempt but it will on the second time. Has anyone else run into a problem like this an how did you fix it? Thank you in advance for any help that you can give me.
Sounds like a fuel problem
You need to hook up a fuel pressure gauge and determine if the pressure is correct, if it holds after shutting the engine down, etc.
If you’re not able to do that, I suggest taking the car to a reputable independent shop for a proper diagnosis and estimate to repair
