I have a 2002 Lexus ES 300, 6 months ago while idling at a red light an electronic blip sound came from the center console. It has happened intermittently but increasingly since then. Recently, there has been two incidents of a whining sound coming from the center console after turning off the engine. I have taken the vehicle to a Lexus dealer to fix/find the problem and they look at me like I’m crazy. They have not been able to duplicate the noises and have not identified any problem. I am getting concerned there will be some major electrical failure while I’m driving. Does anyone have an idea of what the problem is so I can drive without anxiety?
