I have a 2002 Civic LX, 5sp manual trans, 80k miles.
I get a warbling sound from the front when I let out the clutch, from a stop, with low engine rpm. I also get the same sound when the rpm’s are low, 800-1200 rpm, and let out the clutch to accelerate in 2 and 3 gears. It is probably there in 4 and 5, but there is too much noise from the wind to hear the warble.
The warble sound is very similar to the sound I have heard from the old VW Beetle’s when they would start up from a stoplight.
I have had this for many months, but cannot duplicate this sound at any other time than upon acceleration with very low rpm.
