I just put antifreeze in and my heat dosnt work but my AC work just fine. I can smell antifreeze when I trun my AC or heat on. Why does my heat not work
Because you are needin’ a heater core, unfortunately. Don’t know what it takes to do it in that rig, but it seems like its not cheap in any vehicle built in the last 15 years or so.
If you needed coolant (anti-freeze) you likely have a leak somewhere. Since you smell it (inside the car?) and you are not getting heat, that is a good indication that the leak is in the heater core.
Since it is a pickup, you may be in luck from the stand point that their heater cores as often easier to get to (less labor charges) and therefore cheaper to replace than in most cars.
