Have there been any issues with the 2002 Honda CRV transmission. I took mine to the dealer and he says everything is fine, however, it seems to act like a brake going down hill, it does not shift unless you give it the gas. It will not drift down a hill. Is that normal???
The joy of Honda’s “hillholding” transmissions. My 2000 CRV is very similar. It is Honda’s attempt at prevent a transmission from “seeking” gears going up hill and helping assist the brakes going downhill. It is normal and I hate it.

Hey, I forgot to add that it is an automatic transmission! I appreciated that feature when I had a stick but it is annoying with an automatic. Does’t it also lower the gas mileage?
